We are a non-profit foundation whose purpose is to inspire, educate, and support adults, children, and those children’s parents who have been diagnosed and are living with type 1 diabetes.
Our mission is to inspire, teach, and demonstrate how to fully manage T1D, thereby reducing its long-term health risks through a highly active and athletically competitive lifestyle. This mission will be carried out by conducting seminars and events to train people of all ages with T1D to overcome the disease’s tendency to inhibit athletic activities that ultimately exacerbate its adverse health effects.
Dedicated to teaching how to manage diabetes and inspire the willpower to overcome health related obstacles and continue or start a healthy, athletic lifestyle.
What We Do
Educating and inspiring people suffering from diabetes, a debilitating disease that affects over 30 million Americans everyday. Our community outreach programs consist of diabetes management, nutrition, and motivational seminars, all while competing at international-caliber professional cycling events.
We host events and speaking engagements in hospitals, universities, schools, YMCA’s, and Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs.
We work directly with local chambers of commerce, diabetic support groups, and interscholastic, collegiate cycling teams in each race city
We help to organize giving bicycles and helmets to our surrounding communities to enable our youth to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
Testing and Training
Continuously researching diabetes and learning new methods of training and nutrition using the latest technology and science to manage and fight the disease.
Our foundation board members are community leaders. Together they bring professional experience from the world of business, medical fields, outreach, and sustainability. They are passionate, dedicated, and have the motivation needed to face challenging situations that our organization is tasked to face.
